I just had a lot of fun changing the layout and format of this blog...I seriously played around with it for an hour and a half....

So, Mike normally is the one who gets the oil changed in my car, but he was working all day on Saturday and I was 1,000 miles overdue, so I went to do it. Now, not all mechanics are rude and demeaning, but this guy definitely was. The last time Mike went, the oil change took 20 minutes longer than they said and they had given him a slip for a free oil change the next time. So I took this slip in and handed it to the guy and said "I want the same kind of oil change we got last time, nothing else". He proceeded to tell me (without even looking at my car, or knowing what kind of car it was) that I probably needed a new air filter, a new fuel filter, and new wiper blades, but that he could do all that for me (bless his heart). Just because I have ovaries does not mean that I know nothing about cars. So I lied straight to his face and told him that I had just changed all of the above by myself and that I would appreciate him simply changing the oil in the car with the normal oil. Ugh! I was NOT amused (my husband, however, definitely was).

I'm attempting to watch "Jon and Kate plus 8" while writing this and it hasn't been too successful...I get way too distracted watching and laughing (and praying that I don't have 8 kids because I would lose my mind). Peace out homies.

E and i watched J&K+8 tonight. i'm trying to figure out how i feel about her forcing her kids to sit on the potty until something comes out. since i'm currently potty-training two kids roughly the same age, it's kind of on my brain. it seems a little mean... but, i think with that many toddlers you just have to do what you have to do.

so today i forced one of my girls to sit on the potty to go. she sat and wept and i felt rotten. i don't think that's the approach for me.
