Uhg! Allergies! I was JUST bragging to Mike Saturday night that I haven't had any troubles with allergies yet this season. Apparently the bragging woke the allergy-fairy because Sunday morning I woke up with a scratchy throat, itchy eyes, and I couldn't stop sneezing. Awesome. I'm very thankful for Clariton. And I refuse to try anything else because I have a theory that if you have to get it from behind the pharmacy counter it's going to work better than if I can just pick it off the shelf.
Today at work, I picked a baby up from the high chair only to realize that he had poo-ed his pants...and not just a little. Somehow, he worked it so that the poo went up his back, out the top of his diaper in the front, and down both legs. And he did all this poo-ing in 15 minutes because I changed him right before I gave him his bottle. There is NO easy way (besides cutting it) to get a poopy onesie that has it on from and back off a 8 month old baby who doesn't feel like getting changed. He had poo in his hair, on both arms, all over his belly...it was disgusting. Once I got the onesie off, I just gave him a bath. No amount of wipes would have cleaned all of that up. When his mom picked up up I told her about the "Poo of 2008" and she informed me that he hadn't pooped since Thursday. She thought it was all very funny because she was worried she would have to deal with the consequences of the prunes she gave him the day before. Oh the life of a daycare worker....
And here's my favorite part of the best movie ever. I've seen it probably 300 times and know it by heart, yet I cry every time in certain parts. I even walked down the aisle to the song in the background. I work a half-day tomorrow and need to do laundry...and probably end up watching the whole movie while I get some stuff done and pack for Kristen's wedding.

well i think any mother who gives their child prunes should alert the daycare staff. good grief.
Those blowouts are never fun! I learned a trick from a co-worker when I worked in daycare...to roll the onesie up, poop side in, while you take it off. It doesn't eliminate all the mess, but it does help, especially since by the time you get it to go over their face and head, it's not going to get poop in their hair. I'm sure you've already thought of this:) I was just glad to get the tip at the time I needed it!:)
Oh the joys of childcare and soon to be motherhood for me!:) At least I'll know if I've given her prunes...
Natty....I miss you! :)
